Nicolas Petan wurde am 22. März 1995 in Delta, British Columbia, Kanada, geboren und besitzt sowohl die kanadische als auch die italienische Staatsbürgerschaft. Der 1,75 Meter große und 79 Kilogramm schwere Stürmer, der sowohl als Center als auch auf dem linken Flügel eingesetzt werden kann, stammt aus dem Nachwuchs des North Shore Winter Club. Mit seiner linken Schusshand bringt er Spielwitz, Kreativität und exzellente technische Fähigkeiten aufs Eis. Petan ist bekannt für seine starke Spielübersicht, schnelle Hände und seine Fähigkeit, gefährliche Offensivaktionen einzuleiten. Trotz seiner kompakten Statur spielt er mit großem Einsatz und hoher Spielintelligenz. Seine internationale Erfahrung macht ihn zu einer wertvollen Verstärkung für jedes Team.
